Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, cooler weather (hopefully soon), holidays and of course, football-namely college football and more specifically Oklahoma State Cowboys football! I couldn't wait to dress the kids up in their Oklahoma State gear for a "photo shoot". Enjoy and GO POKES!
Today was Drake's first day of preschool! I can't believe that he is this big already. He goes twice a week this year on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-2. It has been a long, hot summer trapped indoors so we were all very excited for him to get out of the house and to be reunited with his friends from his Mother's Day Out class. He looks like he's 5 in these pictures. :(

We were lucky enough to have my cousin Kadi and her family in town from Oklahoma for the weekend. Drake is only 2 months older than Matt so they have a blast when they're together. I'm sure that Jake and Allie will have just as much fun when they are a little older (Jake is 11 months so only 5 months older than Allie).
We had a great time swimming, shopping, eating at the Rainforest Cafe, and we also went to Going Bonkers so Matt and Jake could experience what Drake's birthday party was like the week before :)

These two are so cute together I can't even stand it.
We had Drake's 3rd birthday party on July 30th. My only requirement for the party was that it wasn't at our house (I made that mistake for his 1st birthday). We ended up choosing Going Bonkers in Lewisville because they provide a lot of things AND they clean up after you-which is huge. The kids had a great time and completely wore themselves out, which was fantastic. Here are a few pictures of Drake's big party (which he is still talking about).

Drake,
Wow, how are you already 3 years old? It really doesn't seem like it could be 3 years ago that you came into our lives and officially made us a family. You have grown from a baby, to a toddler and now an amazing little boy. In just a few short weeks you will be starting preschool. It's only 2 days a week but it seems like such a big deal to me! I am so happy that I started staying home with you a year ago so that we could spend time together, it is something that I will always cherish. You are so smart, you know all of your alphabet (and have for about a year and a half-incredible!) and you can count to 30. You are the best big brother ever to your little sister, you are never jealous of her and are always loving. You have to be the first one in her room when she wakes up in the morning. The friendship that I see developing between the two of you melts my heart. You are a daddy's boy now (daddy is more fun), but you still love to snuggle with me. I love seeing the world through your eyes as you are fascinated with everything. You are so funny (and you know it) and love to crack us up.
Drake, your daddy and I are so lucky that we are your parents. I thank God every.single.day that he brought you into my life. You are my first born-the one that made me a mommy and I can't thank you enough for that.

Allie loves her exersaucer (and her Pokes gear-Go Pokes!) and Drake looks like he's 7 years old-aside from the bib. David jokes that he'll be the only kid in Kindergarten with a bib someday and I'm fine with that :)

4 1/2 months old:
The Mavs are the World Champions (I've never understood that since we just play teams in the USA, but...) so the kiddos and I watched the Mavs parade...on TV. No way was I dragging my littles to downtown Dallas to see it live, although we did consider it for 15 seconds.
Here are pics. Notice there are no Mavs to be seen-so you'll have to take my word for it and Allie is wearing a bow since she is in boy PJs and in a boy Bumpo.
