Drake's birthday party

We had Drake's 3rd birthday party on July 30th. My only requirement for the party was that it wasn't at our house (I made that mistake for his 1st birthday). We ended up choosing Going Bonkers in Lewisville because they provide a lot of things AND they clean up after you-which is huge.  The kids had a great time and completely wore themselves out, which was fantastic.  Here are a few pictures of Drake's big party (which he is still talking about).

May 2010-Playdates

We were lucky to have a few playdates in the month of May.  Here is a quick rundown of those over the month.

We went over to visit Besty, Jared, William and Henry (and actually got a picture of Henry this time YAY!).

Sadly, my step father, Larry's mother passed away so we drove up to Hollis for the funeral.  Although under unfortunate circumstances, Drake had fun playing with the goats and cousin Matt.

Matt already knows how to work on the farm :)

And finally toward the end of the month, we were able to get together with David's cousin Tim, his wife Kelly, and their little boy, Luke.  Drake had fun with cousin Luke!

Drake update

Hello all,

Sorry that I have been so bad about keeping up lately but I'm going to work on changing that soon.  Things have just been crazy!  We were on vacation last week so I have a post about that and some other news (no, no baby news sorry :)) but I wanted to do a quick post about how the Drakester and what he's been up to lately.

He is 22 months old and is:

• running everywhere
• can recite the entire alphabet by looking at the letters
• can count to 10 (sometimes 11)
• is talking up a storm (honestly he can repeat anything we say and that is scary)
• is becoming extremely "toddler like" (aka demanding, free spirited, and independent)
• wants everything he does to be "funny" (he will ask us, "Mommy, funny?" when he does something)
• loves to be outside
• loves the water
• is cuter than ever-proof below :)

Happy Mother's Day

Just a note to wish all the mothers and mothers to be in my life a Happy Mother's Day! Hope all of you have a wonderful day of being pampered, you all deserve it.

Visitors

Last weekend our friends Mel, Sean, and Sanders came down from Tulsa for a visit.  Drake and Sanders haven't been together since they were this big   Sanders is just adorable and he and Drake had a great time.

Catching up...

I really feel like that's all I'm able to do on here!  Is it just me or has April flown by? 

A few weeks ago David went to Tulsa for his brother JT's bachelor party so Drake and I went over for a play date at Betsy and Jared's with William and Henry.  Drake and William are 6 months apart and are BFF so we thought it would be cute to dress them alike (which was even cuter than I ever imagined it could be).

After loading the pictures, I realized that I am a horrible friend and didn't take 1 picture of little brother Henry.  He's just precious and I can't believe that I didn't get any pictures of him!

Thanks Betsy, Jared, William, and Henry for letting Drake and I hang out. We miss you guys!

The last few weeks...

The last few weeks have flown by and I've been really bad about posting, so before I update with Easter pictures, here is what we were up to in March:

Maranie's bachelorette party was on March 13th and was so much fun! Here are a few pics (from the beginning of the night :))

And on March 20th we drove to Groesbeck, TX to go to Maranie and Scott's wedding (due to unforseen circumstances, Drake attended the wedding/reception with us-but he was a good boy as usual and there were plenty of friends to help us keep an eye on him).

Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of Maranie and Scott!  It was a beautiful wedding and we had a wonderful time!

Girls weekend in Vegas!

Last weekend I went on a girls trip to Vegas in honor of my friend Jenny who's getting married in April.  The trip was with a fabulous group of girls and we had a fantastic time!  Unfortunately I was sick before we left, but I did my best to party like a rock star...well a rock star who's a married mom with the flu :)
