We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was so much fun with Drake since he sort of "gets it" now. David and I kept saying that we were as excited for this Christmas with him as we were when we were little! Here are some pictures:

David's mom and step-dad came down to spend Christmas with us and we didn't take 1 picture! Hopefully they will send some so that I can load them on the blog!

December is a busy month for everyone I'm sure. Here are a few things that we've been up to:

Here is my 28 week picture as promised. I can tell a HUGE difference in my 24 week picture and now and all I can say is that I am growing larger by the day! I still think that my belly was a lot bigger when I was pregnant with Drake. As for the old wives tale about a puffy face with a girl pregnancy, I am a believer!

As of last Thursday, I am 27 weeks pregnant, which means, the 3rd trimester. How did this happen so fast?? On Thanksgiving, I will be 28 weeks, which is just 10 weeks shy of when I went into labor and had Drake. I've always heard that subsequent pregnancies go much quicker and I can definitely say that is the case here. I'm anxious to meet this little girl but I'm still so nervous about having 2 kids at home! We painted (we being David) the nursery this last week and put up the crib last weekend and it is so surreal having 2 cribs in my house! Drake is loving his "big boy room" and once we finish a few finishing touches on it and the nursery I will post pictures.
On to other news, baby girl has a name! Well, we've really known for awhile what she would probably be named, but it's been hard for us to commit this time for some reason. With Drake, we knew before our big ultrasound what his name would be, but this time we just really haven't talked much about it-2nd child syndrome already :)
So, without further adeiu, her name will be...
Allie Jo. Allie is a name that I've always thought was really cute-it's nice and short which is great with Wasemiller and it's not extremely popular. Jo is my mom and grandma's middle name and I've always known that if I had a girl, her middle name would be Jo. So there it is!
I will post in a few days with my 28 week preggo picture. I'm feeling huge at this point but I know I have a lot more growing to do and that is scary :)

For Halloween this year, Drake went as Buzz Lightyear. He fell in love with the costume the first time we put it on him and will still tell you if you ask "I Buzz". We decided to keep the Trick or Treating low key since this was his first year. We went over to a neighborhood church for trunk or treat with our neighbors and just went to a few houses on our street. Drake did great, even saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" to everyone. This age is so much fun since he's really starting to get it. I absolutely cannot wait until Christmas this year!

I haven't been very good about taking pictures of this pregnancy. With Drake I took one every 4 weeks starting at 16 weeks. With baby girl, I just took the first yesterday at a little over 24 weeks. I feel like I'm bigger this time, but looking at the comparison, I really don't think that I am.

Drake and I met Betsy, William, and Henry at the Fort Worth Zoo. The boys had so much fun-especially riding the train.
