Christmas 2009

This Christmas was so much fun because Drake actually knew what to do with his presents and the look on his face when he opened them was priceless. I finally understand why everyone says that Christmas is so much more special when you have little ones.

We traveled up to Oklahoma to see David's family this year. Our first stop was Edmond, we arrived on Wednesday evening and awoke on Thursday to find the beginnings of a blizzard. Yes, I said a blizzard, in Oklahoma. The winds were blowing 50 mph and the snow was coming down like crazy. By the next morning, there were 14 inches of snow in Edmond, which delayed our trip to Tulsa for another day (who got about 9 inches).

We finally were able to make it to Tulsa on Saturday and Drake was baptized on Sunday in the same church where David and I were married so that was a pretty special way to wrap up our weekend.

Drake has a blast with his Pops and Za Za, Uncle Cole and Aunt Sissy in Edmond and with his Mimo and Dado in Tulsa. Thank you all for the wonderful gifts, you did too much again this year (as usual).

I don't have any pictures from our trip loaded yet and honestly can't remember if I took any at all, but I do have some from our pre Christmas at home:

I just wanted to add this one because he looks like Cindy Lou Who from How the Grinch Stole Christmas :)

Everyone have a wonderful New Year's Eve.  While most of you are out celebrating in style, please think of me sitting at home watching Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's and hoping that I can stay awake until midnight!
