6 months old!

Drake turned 6 months old on Sunday and we went to the doctor for his check up and 6 month shots yesterday. He's definitely a big boy weighing 21 lbs and 6 oz and measuring 28 1/2 inches long. He's above the 95th percentile in height and right at the 95th percentile in weight. We recently started him on vegetables-started with squash and have now moved to carrots (which he loves). Here are a few pics of his first "meal". I'll update later with more 6 month pictures!

Finally!

So I finally got around to loading the pictures from Christmas! My parents came early and we celebrated with them before we headed up to Oklahoma to be with David's family. Here are some pictures of Drake with his Paw Paw and Gi Gi, his Pops and Gramz,his Mimo and Dado, his Uncle Cole, his Aunt Sissy (Kristen), and of course with us. Drake also turned 5 months on Christmas day, he's such a big boy! Thank you to everyone for making Drake's first Christmas such a special one.

I apologize!

I am so sorry for the delay in posting about Drake's first Christmas, but he's been very sick. I took him to the doctor last Thursday because he was coughing, wheezing and had a fever. They diagnosed him with a respiratory virus. His fever finally broke on Sunday, but we are still continuing the breathing treatments. I think that he's getting better, his cough seems much looser, but we're being very cautious. I promise that I will post about Christmas very soon!

As promised, here are a few pictures from Drake's first Thanksgiving, with his great-grandma Pate,his cousin Matt, and his 4 month "birthday".

Quick post

I don't have a lot of time, but I wanted to give a quick update, since some big things have happened since my last post!
On November 25 Drake celebrated his 4 month birthday, the most amazing thing is that exactly a year ago on that very date,we found out that I was pregnant with him! It's crazy how fast it all goes.
Drake also just celebrated his first Thanksgiving. We traveled up to Oklahoma to spend the holiday with my family. Drake met a ton of cousins and was able to visit his 95 year old great-grandma Pate again.
We took Drake for his 4 month check up last Monday and he is a big boy! He weighed 18 lbs 4 1/2 ounces and was 26 inches long. He's above the 90th percentile in pretty much everything and is doing great. We started him on rice cereal a few weeks ago and he really seems to like it.
