In June Uncle JT and his wonderful girlfriend Stacey came to visit. Drake had a great time except at Freebirds when I told him to stop biting the table, (see the look he gave me in unhappy Drake pic below).

July 17th
July 17th is a day that I haven't looked forward to in 8 years. It is a day that is burned into my mind for the rest of my life. July 17th is the day that my dad passed away. It's not like I want to be sad on this day, I just am. I can't help but think about that day, 8 years ago now, when my life was changed forever. So much has happened since then, I graduated from college, got engaged, married, and had my first baby. These are a lifetime of things that dad has missed. I know that he is in a better place, but I can't help but wish that he was here telling us his crazy jokes and playing with his first grand baby.
I miss you dad.

One more...
Just wanted to post once more (to make up for lost time) with a few more updated pictures of Drake. I personally love his "shark hair" sleeping picture. Enjoy!

Parker's First Birthday
Last weekend we went to Drake's friend Parker's first birthday party at Gattitown in Frisco. As you can tell from the pictures, Drake had a blast! He played games, hung out with his friends, and he even sampled just a teeny bit of Parker's birthday cake in preparation for his cake next month.

Happy Father's Day (a little late...)
Happy Father's day to all of the fathers. I think that David enjoyed his first official father's day although we really didn't do anything too exciting!
David-thank you for being such a wonderful husband and an amazing father. There is nothing that I love more than watching you with him. I can't wait to share this day with you and our children, and grandchildren, for the rest of our lives.
I'm so blessed to have a fantastic step-dad and two great father-in-laws-here are some pictures of Drake with his Paw Paw, his Pops, and his Dado.
For obvious reasons-Father's day is a time when I really find myself missing my dad the most. I can't believe that he's been gone for almost 8 years. I wish so much that he could be here to see Drake, but I know that he is with us every day.

Gramz and Pops came for a visit!
Okay, I know that I'm way behind. Gramz and Pops came to visit Drake back on the weekend of May 16th. We had a wonderful visit, they brought Drake some clothes and a bubble gun. I wish that we lived closer to our families so that Drake could be around everyone more often. Here are some pictures from their visit.
