Drake's new cousin Jake is here! I was able to go to Lawton to see him the day after he was born. It was crazy to hold a baby that tiny again-can't believe that Drake was ever that small! Jake looks a lot like his big brother Matt and I can't wait to watch all the boys grow up together. Here are some pics of the precious little guy:
I know but I have a good excuse-this new life that I have working from home and being a full time stay-at-home mom is crazy busy (not that I expected anything less)! I am ready for fall so that the little mister and I can get out of the house because, let's face it, August in Texas sucks. Although, when I think about fall, I think about September, and when I think about September, I think about the 17th and how I will be 30 soon. THIRTY?! How did that happen so fast? I swear that I just graduated college (7 years ago, WHAT?!)
I definitely am already feeling at least 30, if not 50, but that is probably due to other factors. Which brings me to a little announcement that Drake would like to make...
We had family in town the weekend of Drake's birthday so instead of having a big party, we just had a few small celebrations. Drake's Uncle JT and Aunt Stacey were here Friday-Sunday and Pops, ZaZa and Uncle Cole were here Sunday-Tuesday. Drake was completely spoiled and had the best time.

I am sitting her completely in awe of the fact that you are 2 years old. It seems like we were just celebrating your first birthday and I was a mess because you were growing up so fast. How could a year have already passed?
At 2 years old, you are amazing. You can recite the entire alphabet and count to 15. You will do anything to get a laugh and are constantly trying to do something "funny". You love to run, and don't really walk anywhere anymore. You love cheese pizza and milk and would be happy if those were the only things that we ever gave to you (thanks to the 2 year old food strike :)).
I feel so blessed that I'm now able to stay home with you full time. I look forward to seeing your sweet smile every morning and our snuggle time on the couch.
You have no idea what you mean to your daddy and I. We love you so much and can't wait to continue to watch you grow.

My family came into town for a little vacation in Grapevine so we met up with them where they were staying at Great Wolf Lodge. Drake was able to hang out with Matt (my cousin Kadi's little boy who is just a few months younger than Drake) and he was really excited to see him. I absolutely love seeing these two together!
We decided to keep Drake up late this year to take him to see some fireworks. He absolutely loved it!
